ABSTRAK :
A flap is a plane part that serves to help the aircraft get lift when it will take off and force down when it will land using the air pressure from the outside. In addition, a flap serves as a braking tool after the plane landing. Along the aircraft operation time, the reliability level and failure rate of the aircraft will decrease with the flight hours. Referring to the air transport safety level, the risk of wear out on the plane flap is high. This study aimed to identity the level of reliability and failure rate of CN-235 aircraft flap. This study used a weibull analysis method that refers to the failure time of CN-235. Based on the calculation, the failure rate on the CN-235 plane flap was 0.000116844 at 100 hours of flight and 0.004305542 at 1250 flight hours. Also, the calculation of flap reliability was 0.763686662 at 100 flight hours and 0.034390625 at 1250 hours. In conclusion, the more frequent flap failure occured, the lower the flap reliability was found. The more failure time, the level of flap reliability decreased which allowed a system experienced a greater failure or at the limit of wear out. Keywords: reliability, failure rate, weibull analysis.
