ABSTRAK
Wheel brake system pada pesawat airbus A320-200 merupakan komponen yang penting untuk keselamatan dan kenyamanan penumpang. System wheel brake pada pesawat bertujuan untuk menghentikan pesawat ketika landing maupun kegagalan ketika takeoff. Sistem wheel brake pada airbus A320-200 terdiri dari normal brakes, alternate brakes, anti-skid, parking brakes, autobrakes dan brake fan. Pada saat melakukan braking terjadi permasalahan vibration, over-heat, dan selector valve close. Permasalan ini dapat memberikan dampak pada proses braking. Dengan indikasi tersebut maka dapat di pastikan bahwa pada wheel brake system mengalam masalah.
Menurut prosedur dari TSM (Troubleshooting Manual) jika terjadi trouble pada bagian tersebut maka di lakukan proses maintenance. Proses maintenance menunjukan bahwa terjadi trouble pada brake unit dan brake selector valve. Setelah mengetahui kerusakan, maka dilakukan proses pengecekan komponen yang trouble. Pengecekan bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat kerusakan komponen tersebut.
Terdapat kerusakan pada brake unit dan electrical connector pada komponen brake selector valve, kerusakan ini di akibatkan karena adanya corrosion dan kerusakan ulir pada komponen. Upaya yang dilakukan untuk menanggulangi permasalahan yang menyebabkan vibration ketika melakukan braking dan tidak bekerjanya electrical connector pada komponen brake selector valve. Mengacu pada Aircraft Maintenance Manual (AMM) bahwasanya harus melakukan penggantian pada brake unit dan penggantian electrical connector agar sistem kembali ke kondisi seviceable.

The wheel brake system on the aircraft aims to stop the aircraft during landing or failure during takeoff. Wheel brake system of airbus A320-200 is consists of normal brakes, alternate brakes, anti-skid, parking brakes, autobrakes and brake fans. During braking there is a problem with vibration, over-heat, and the selector valve closes. This problem can have an impact on the braking process. There is damage to the brake unit and electrical connector on the brake selector valve component, this damage is caused due to corrosion and thread damage to the components. Efforts were made to overcome the problems that cause vibration when braking and the electrical connector not working on the brake selector valve component. . Referring to the Aircraft Maintenance Manual (AMM) that you have to replace the brake unit and replace the electrical connector so that the system returns to a serviceable condition.
