PERANCANGAN MESIN PACKAGING DAN KURSI KERJA SECARA ERGONOMIS SEBAGAI UPAYA MEMPERBAIKI POSISI KERJA DAN MENINGKATKAN PRODUKTIVITAS PADA STASIUN KERJA PENGEMASAN (Studi Kasus di Home Industri Tempe Dulaziz Yogyakarta)


ABSTRAK
Dulaziz is a home industry producing tempeh and tofu. In the production process, they are still using traditional tools that are designed without applying the principles of ergonomics and worker body size dimensions. This can be seen in the packing process which so far only using simple tools. In this tempeh packing process, an operator works in a sitting position on the floor.This will cause inconvenience to the operator, especially on the neck, shoulder, elbow, wrist, back and legs often become numb. Therefore, there should be an improvement and redesign on the tempeh packing tool.
There are several aspects that must be considered in designing of this tempeh wrapping machine, namely anthropometric data, operator’s complaints at work and processing time data. Then, The design is used to compare the level of comfort that is felt by the operator before and after work which affects the processing time and work productivity. Tempeh Wrapping machine and work-seat prototype in this study was designed and tested for stress analysis using software Solidworks.
The research results of the 3 operators, to the level of comfort, states feel comfortable on the neck by 2 persons, on the shoulder by 3 persons, on the elbow by 3 persons, on the wrist by 3 persons, on the back by 3 persons, on the hip by 3 persons, on the knee by 3 persons, on the bottom by 3 persons, on the ankle by 3 persons. Standard time and standard output data before designing is 11,54 second/unit and 316 unit/hour, respectively. After designing, they show 4,69 second/unit and 766 unit/hour, respectively. There are a decrease of 59% of standard time and an increase 142% of productivity, respectively.
