Inexact Newton Method for Combustion Problem Solution


ABSTRAK
Combustion problem is ones of the difficult nonlinear system of equations. The use of the inexact Newton with backtracking method and Krylov subspace inside to the problem has to consider the initial condition which is not too far from the solution. For each initial condition taken, some need many steps compared to other and some fail to converge. The use of Jacobian matrix result much more iteration and time than the finite difference for Jacobian Matrix approximation. Preconditioning the inner loop with free Jacobian matrix shows more efficient than the use of the preconditioning Jacobian matrix.
