PERANCANGAN DAN PEMBUATAN PLATFORM UAV RADIO CONTROL KOLIBRI-08v2 DENGAN MESIN THUNDER TIGER 46 PRO


ABSTRAK
UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) is an aircraft without a human pilot on board. Designing an
aircraft or UAV must consider about the three main concept (phase) design which are
conseptual design, preliminary design, and detailed design. This research only study about the
conceptual design phase how to design and build an UAV. The process of this research divides
into 3 steps. The first step is determining the maximum take-off weight, total fuel, aircraft
configuration, and geometry sizing. The second step is drawing the UAV 3D model where the
dimensions based on the first step and manufacturing process. The third step is the flight test.
The wing configuration is high wing with rectangular shape configuration airfoil NACA 2412.
Tail wing configuration is conventional flat type. The engine configuration is tractor engine
type thunder tiger 46 pro (propeller 11 x 6) nose mounting. The landing gear system attached
the fuselage consists of two main landing gear placed under wing, and single landing gear
placed at nose. The result is that the UAV Platform(UAV-08v2) could fly steady level at 100 m
above ground controlled by radio remote control device.
